We are very pleased to announce that Alice W.S. Price has joined Underwood Scoggins as an Associate Attorney in our Land Use & Zoning practice group. Her arrival strengthens our commitment to serving clients who face complex zoning, land‑use and real‑estate‑development challenges across North Georgia and Metro Atlanta.

A Rich Background

Alice was raised in the suburbs of New York City and came to Georgia with a strong academic and practical foundation in land‑use law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Art History from The George Washington University. After graduation she worked in event management and logistics for locally owned restaurant groups in Portland, Oregon and Atlanta — experience that speaks to her organizational skill, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.

She then pursued her Juris Doctor at Georgia State University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude with a Certificate in Environmental and Land Use Law. While in law school she was recognized for excellence: she received the Land Use Award for academic achievement and demonstrated commitment to built‑environment issues, as well as CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in both Land Use Law and Criminal Law. While participating in Atlanta’s Urban Fellows program, she authored a paper on suburban single‑family zoning, and as an Urban Transformations Fellow she collaborated with the Chatham County Office of Sustainability on zoning‑policy recommendations.

What She Brings to the Firm

With Alice on board, our clients benefit from:

  • A fresh yet well‑qualified perspective on land‑use and zoning matters, including legislative/regulatory review, site‑planning strategy, and zoning‑dispute navigation.
  • A deep academic grounding in environmental and land‑use law, matched with real‑world organizational and logistical experience.
  • A collaborative mindset rooted in interdisciplinary work — she has already shown her ability to engage government, community and private‑sector stakeholders.
  • A person‑centered approach: Alice’s background — from event logistics to zoning policy — reflects her knack for seeing projects from multiple angles and anticipating how complex pieces fit together.

Welcome to the Team

Alice is based in our Cumming, GA office and brings to the firm not only legal prowess but also a personable, strategic outlook. She and her husband have three children; when she’s not at work you’ll most likely find her reading, nurturing her indoor plant collection, or cheering on a good basketball game with her family.

We are honored to have Alice join our team and look forward to her contributions in helping businesses, developers and property‑owners navigate the evolving landscape of land use, zoning and real‑estate law. Please join us in welcoming Alice to Underwood Scoggins.
