Attorney Joshua A. Scoggins Announces Launch of Scoggins Law Group
Jessica Cantrell will join Scoggins as a partner in the new Cumming law firm, which will focus on land use, zoning, eminent domain, real estate, business, and civil litigation matters throughout Georgia.
CUMMING, Ga. — August 17, 2026 — Attorney Joshua A. Scoggins today announced the formation of Scoggins Law Group, a Cumming-based law firm officially launching September 1, 2026. Attorney Jessica Cantrell will join Scoggins as a partner in the new firm.
Founded on the principles of reliability, relentless advocacy, and results, Scoggins Law Group will represent property owners, developers, builders, businesses, investors, and individuals throughout North Georgia and Metro Atlanta.
The firm’s principal practice areas will include land use and zoning, eminent domain and condemnation, real estate transactions and litigation, construction law, corporate and business matters, and general civil litigation.

Scoggins brings approximately 20 years of legal experience to the new firm. His practice focuses heavily on zoning and land use matters before local governments and administrative boards, condemnation proceedings, real estate disputes, and related trial and appellate litigation.
Throughout his career, Scoggins has represented clients ranging from individual property owners and small businesses to national builders, private equity funds, hedge funds, and Fortune 500 companies. He has appeared in matters across North Georgia and Metro Atlanta, including Forsyth, Dawson, Cherokee, and surrounding counties, as well as Alpharetta, Milton, Johns Creek, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Sugar Hill, and Woodstock.
As partners, Scoggins and Cantrell will lead the firm with a shared focus on strategic advocacy, responsive client service, and practical solutions tailored to each client’s legal and business objectives.
